Good Influence Media
A Simon and Schuster for the modern age - podcasts and audiobooks. There's so much that makes sense here from sourcing rights to audiobook and podcast production, to ad placement, to sourcing podcast guests, etc.
I think podcasters will be attracted to a production firm that has aligned incentives, professional grade production capability, and a structure, culture, and reputation such that we'll never pine for influence over artistic direction. I actually helped an old salty partner at Guidehouse figure out podcasting and now it's his favorite thing to do at work - and the economics work.
Also: I randomly met one of the founders at Royalty Exchange, which is a really interesting business that syndicates and capitalizes royalty stream income (mostly music) so show a few good years of earnings and decide if it makes sense to sell some of the future income and parlay it into a bigger play. https://www.royaltyexchange.com/
Keys are creative yet disciplined deals, a thoughtful sales funnel, and a few great producers.
